Maybe my favorite.
The “Judge’s Dance” from final scene of Blood Meridian
Even Better!
The four songs of our November 2017 EP. One more to go.
The end of time and everything
To come alive like dreaming
The ghosts of light to come
Lift up your mind to see the dimming
The darkened skies, oh, darling eyes,
Hold your head so gently
Go ahead and whisper, “Mind you,
The end of all life’s meaning.”
Whatchu gonna do, dude?
Whatchu gonna do?
I tried to give a shit, I really did
But I couldn’t seem to
“Fill the world with love,” they said,
“and it spits love right back at you.”
But that’s all gone.
The chance was lost.
Whatchu gonna do, dude?
Whatchu gonna do?

Our reliable collaborator Ritchie S Young from @lochlomondband sings the first track here, Shoot The Moon.
Hey hey! Enjoy these mostly instrumentals. Track three is my fav, but they were all fun to write.
All but the last song were written in Harlem, New York City. The last song was written in the 3rd floor hallway of the Ace Hotel in Portland, Oregon while curious room cleaners wandered by with sheets and towels.
Sometimes I forget to mention that I also make music people really like. Weird, eh?

“I was an evil child
I tore apart and pissed on everything I wanted
It’s all right it’s all right
You can be your evil self if you like
I was a wandering soul
discarding anything and anyone at all
It’s all right It’s all right
You can forgive your evil self if you like
I’m all right I’m all right
Me and my evil self feel just fine
Miles and miles
Miles and miles of saints all around
Miles and miles
Miles and miles of dirt underground
I was executioner
I used my ax to get a-head
I was sloth spectacular
sinking into the very essence of blah blah blah
Miles and miles
Miles and miles of saints underground
Miles and miles
Miles and miles of dirt all around"
New Y5k:
There are probably 30 different versions of You Will Not Die Alone
recorded over the last five years, none quite hitting the spot. Some had
accordions, some with nylon-string guitar, some all organ. This version
is closest to what I envisioned. Saints All Around, by contrast, has
only one other version: the original acoustic guitar demo. Chronos
Versus the Charioteer is an outtake from the larger yet-unreleased song
called Chronos Advises the Charioteer, in which the Time Titan instructs
Apollo to take to the sky. Leypold … I’m not sure what to say about
Leypold other than I find it immersive and meditative.
